My first memory of drawing was at about 3 or 4 years of age when, in church, my mother gave me a pencil and paper to keep me quiet. I was always able to draw but professionally I went in a different direction. After graduating from law school I worked in the legal and financial industries in Baltimore and subsequently in Naples.
Approximately three years ago I got back into art when I signed up for some art classes at the Johns Creek, Georgia Art Center. I was fortunate to have Debra Yaun, pencil, and Kathryn Gentile, pastels, as instructors.
I am currently a member of the Southeastern Pastel Society and the Southwest Florida Pastel Society and have received regional awards in Georgia and Florida for works in pastel, pencil, oil and acrylic. I especially enjoy plein air painting and would paint outside every day if I could.
