Born Chicago, Illinois, Lynne developed an early interest in art: drawing, painting and art history. After graduating from the State University of New York with a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Art Education, she taught art for several years before putting her active painting aside to raise a family and operate a business. The experience of living in Germany,

Hong Kong, and Japan with her husband, an executive, and their two children provided a wealth of study and travel opportunities. She has been intensely interested in visiting major art museums throughout the world, and

painted in Monet’s Garden, Giverny, in 2004.

After retiring, Lynne renewed her love of painting, discovering the exciting medium of pastels and enrolled in classes and workshops. Soft pastels offer her clean, brilliant colors of pure pigment, which yield exciting results as she works on archival surfaces. She feels that a strong composition and a range of values give her paintings a necessary structure.

Lynne is an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA), a member of the Naples Art Association,

Art League of Bonita Springs, and the International Association of Pastel Societies. Lynne is a past

President of the Southwest Florida Pastel Society.

Lynne is currently exhibiting in the new Cove Gallery at Nora Butler's, 800 12th St. South in Crayton Cove in Naples.
